MUKWONAGO - Sara Jaye Mitchell, 21, a resident of Mukwonago and a University of Wisconsin-Madison student, was born to eternal life along with her soul mate, Daniel Gross, on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001. Sara was born in Waukesha on March 28, 1980, to John and Pamela (nee Rolfe) Mitchell. She was a 1998 graduate of Mukwonago High School where she was a member of the band and color guard. Sara was currently a senior at UW-Madison where she was studying to be a registered dietician. She was also a member of Phi Upsilon Omicron. Sara was a world traveler, visiting places such as Costa Rica, Belgium, France, Germany, Canada and various other places, including many cities all over the United States. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in East Troy. She is survived by her father, John (Jill) Mitchell of Eagle; her mother, Pamela (David) Halverson of Mukwonago; her sisters, Erin of Mukwonago, Gracie of Eagle and Jeni of Mukwonago; her grandparents, John and Joyce Mitchell of East Troy, William and Carol Rolfe of Mukwonago and Gerald and Donna LeVeille of Eagle; her great-grandfather, Lester (the late Anita "Granny") Ludke of Mukwonago; and aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at St. James United Methodist Church, 2945 Main St., East Troy. The Rev. Joan Gobel will officiate. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for a scholarship in Sara’s name would be appreciated.
