OCONOMOWOC - Harold E. Dunton, 76, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, at Shorehaven Health Center in Oconomowoc. He was born in Franklin, N.H., on Sept. 28, 1925, the son of Harold Dunton Sr. and Inza Knoles.

Harold served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On May 27, 1950, he married Donna Harrison in Michigan. He was a paper products salesman and a member of Zion Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his children, Cindy (Jerry) Schlieve of Ashippun, David (Susan) Dunton of Waukesha, Bradley (Teri) Dunton of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Elizabeth (Michael) Mittelstaedt of Oconomowoc, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, on Aug. 25, 1998.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St., Oconomowoc; the Rev. James Kaestner officiating. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. service Saturday at the funeral home .

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Zion Episcopal Church are appreciated.
