GREEN LAKE - Lawrence T. Kennedy, 71, of Green Lake, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh with his family at his side. He was born July 15, 1930, in New Lisbon, the son of George and Josephine (nee Lyons) Kennedy. He graduated from New Lisbon High School and then served in the U.S. Army. He received a degree in business administration at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. On June 13, 1961, he married Beverly Brooks. Mr. Kennedy lived most of his life in Green Lake and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon. He was president and owner of LK and Associates, an insurance brokerage company. Larry was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Kennedy of Green Lake; two sons, John (Marji) Kennedy of Waukesha and Tim (Meg) Kennedy of Grafton; one daughter, Jeanne Kennedy of Green Lake; and grandson, Brendan Kennedy of Grafton. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Josephine Kennedy, and two brothers, Denny and Terry Kennedy. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 1 p.m Thursday, Dec. 20, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with the Rev. John A. Schmitz officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of the Mass at church Thursday. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. Memorials to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Larry’s name would be appreciated. Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, (920) 748-2623, is assisting the family.
