Zulka ‘Attaboy’
MUKWONAGO - Richard A. Zulka "Attaboy" of Mukwonago passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 74. Richard was born in Milwaukee on Feb. 3, 1927, to Ignitus and Regina (nee Stelter) Zulka. He was a World War II Marine veteran and a member of the American Legion Post No. 375 and the Veterans of Foreign wars Post No. 7221, both in Mukwonago. Richard was also a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Mukwonago. Survivors include his children, Richard M. (Sandra) of Mukwonago, Dennis of Mukwonago, Darlene (James) Breidenbach of the town of Troy and Roger of Mukwonago; a sister, Dorothy Skudlarczyk of Milwaukee; a brother, Ronald (Barbara) of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by is parents; his wife, Grace; and a sister, Rita Haydock. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at the Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Mukwonago; a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at St. James Catholic Church, 830 Highway NN East, Mukwonago; please meet at the church. The Rev. Robert J. Drutowski will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Mukwonago. Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 363-7126, is serving the family.
