OCONOMOWOC - Ann L. Gonzales, 81, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at Shorehaven Health Center in Oconomowoc. She was born April 14, 1920, in Winneconne, to Fred and Bessie (nee Bruhn) Griffin. Mrs. Gonzales had been a foster mother for more than 40 years and loved playing cards and bingo.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Barbara (Ron) Smith of Federal Way, Wash., Tony Gonzales of West Bend, Bonnie Hunkins of Waukesha, Roxanne (Marty) Borchardt of North Prairie, Nick (Libby) Gonzales of Waukesha and Peter (Vicky) Morales of Pewaukee; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was the beloved sister of Frank (Florence) Griffin of Eagle, Edna (Bob) Globe of Buffalo, N.Y., and Elsie (Bill) Peterson of Montello. She is further survived by her special friends, Frank Gallagher, Dawn Nelson, Tim Fitzpatrick and Carol Anderson, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew, on May 10, 1977; her daughter, Mary; and her sister, Marion Burg.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery; meet at the cemetery office.
