MUKWONAGO - Wayne G. Ennis "Bear" of Mukwonago passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, in Tucson, Ariz., at age 70.

Wayne was born July 23, 1931, in Milwaukee, to George and Emily (nee Hoffman) Ennis.

He was a retired truck driver and mechanic. Wayne was also a member and a past president of the Mukwonago Lion’s Club. He was a devoted camper and traveler.

Survivors include his children, Cheryl (Tom) Tavernia of Fremont, Leroy of Slinger and Rick (Jane) of West Bend; five grandchildren, Dawn (Jim) Zamber, Neil (Tanya) Tavernia, Jamie, Wayne and Bryon Ennis; two great-grandchildren, Jade VanLare and Brandy Zamber; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving companion, Dolores "Lori" Stuettgen.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at the Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Mukwonago. The Rev. Dr. Steven C. Kuhl will officiate.

Memorials to the Wisconsin Lion’s Foundation would be appreciated.
