OCONOMOWOC - Mary C. "Marion" Baxter, 97, of Oconomowoc, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at Shorehaven Health Center in Oconomowoc.

She was born Nov. 5, 1904, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Edward and Mary (nee Halverson) Sell. She worked at Musebeck Shoe Co. for many years. She was very active at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, serving as a member of the altar guild, sewing group and choir.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary June Matitz of Oconomowoc, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey Baxter; and brother, Lawrence Sell.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 145 Lisbon Road. The funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday at the church. The Rev. Ted Kalkwarf will officiate. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Summit Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
