OCONOMOWOC - Esther I. Anderson, 92, of Oconomowoc, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 18, 1909, in Esteline, S.D., the daughter of Andrew and Margaret (nee Walsch) Simonson.

She married Harvey Anderson on June 12, 1935. She was a grade school teacher for the Oconomowoc School District for many years, retiring in 1974.

She is survived by her children, Sandra L. (Richard) Zettelmeier of Oconomowoc, Sue E. (Glenn) Pfaender of New Berlin and Douglas (Leilani) Anderson of Washburn. She is further survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and her brother, Wallace Simonson of Oconomowoc.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey, in 1973, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Ted Kalkwarf will officiate. Cremation with burial will be held in Hayward.

Memorials to the Harvey Anderson Amphitheater, in care of the nature study area of the Oconomowoc School District, are appreciated.
