‘George’ Stuberg
BROOKFIELD - Oscar K. "George" Stuberg, 94, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at Woodland Health Care Center in Brookfield. He was born April 18, 1906, in Lake Nebagamon in Douglas County, son of the late Martin Albert and Anna (nee Nelson) Stuberg. He married Agnes Towalson, and on March 24, 1940, he married May Wildish. He was a painter at Aqua-chem. He and his wife, May, loved square dancing and taught it for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, May, who died May 19, 1995; two sons, LeVerne and LeRoy Wildish; his brothers, Manford and William Stuberg; his sisters, Dolores and Myrtle; and his daughter-in-law, Bonnie Stuberg. George is survived by his daughter, Lena Rammelt of Jefferson; a son, Layne Stuberg of Sullivan; a sister, Violet Krych of Little Falls, Minn.; three grandchildren, Sally (Neil) Roth of Helenville, Sandra (Roger) Dally of Union Grove and Kathy Wildish of New York City; a great-grandchild, Diane Dally of Union Grove; a niece, Linda (Jerome) Siedl of Waukesha; as well as other relatives and friends. The funeral service for George will be held at 1 p.m. today, Friday, Dec. 29, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home-West on Moreland Boulevard. The Rev. Frank Gaylord, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Waukesha, will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
