WAUKESHA - Donald L. Bartholf of Waukesha died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at the Heartland Health Care Center at the age of 75. He was born on Aug. 7, 1925, in Burlington, the son of Earl B. and Alice (nee Van Balhuise) Bartholf. Don retired from the Wisconsin Natural Gas Company and was a member of their Emba Club. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Waukesha. Don enjoyed fishing and casinos. He is the beloved husband of Louise (nee Riesland) Bartholf and the dear father of Steven of Edgewater, Michael (Janet) of Waukesha, Marvin of Oconomowoc and Penney (Donald) Anderson of Waukesha. He is the dear brother of Shirley (Robert) Thomas of Mesa, Ariz., and Beverly (Richard) Stang of Burlington. He will be missed by eight grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Robert W. Bartholf. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at the chapel at Prairie Home Cemetery, 605 S. Prairie Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Howard Bowman will officiate. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N.
