WAUKESHA - Bernice I. Lenhardt, 76, of Waukesha, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was born in Waukesha on July 20, 1924, to Earl and Alma (nee Weber) Stacy. On September 27, 1947, she married Donald Lenhardt, who preceded her in death June 5, 2000. Bernice won many state and national medals for baton twirling. She marched in many parades and was one of the first to achieve twirling two batons. Later, she taught students the art of baton twirling at Nola Jean Majors Studios in Waukesha and had recitals. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and a grandmother who loved her grandchildren very much. She will be sadly missed by her three children, Susan (Henry) Ojeda of Waukesha, Dennis P. Lenhardt of Dousman and David A. Lenhardt of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Sarah Lenhardt, Matthew Ojeda and Andrew Ojeda, all of Waukesha; and special cousin and friend, Emelie Calvano of Waukesha. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Waukesha Memorial Hospital fifth floor staff, the staff at River Hills West, and close friends and family for their support during these times.
