Evelyn M. Yatzeck

WAUKESHA - Lifelong Waukesha resident Evelyn M. Yatzeck, 92, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000. She was born Dec. 14, 1908, to William and Augusta Yatzeck. She was a 1925 graduate of Waukesha High School and immediately began a long, successful career as trusted friend and legal secretary to notable Waukesha attorneys Harvey Frame of Frame & Blackstone and Richard Hunter of Hunter & Sommers. From 1960 to 1975, Evelyn and her brother, Dan, owned and operated Genesee Hardware and Building Supply Store in Genesee Depot. Miss Yatzeck loved the color blue, birds, the home she was raised in and visits and letters from family. She will be remembered as a devoted sister, aunt and friend.

She is survived by nephews and nieces, John (Terri) Yatzeck of Genesee, James (Diane) Yatzeck of North Prairie, Richard (Diane) Yatzeck of Bear Creek, Ralph (Christine) Yatzeck Jr. of Port Orchard, Wash., David Yatzeck of Waukesha, Vicki (Robert) Pihringer of Waukesha, Lynn Yatzeck of Washington, Mo., Steven Blood of Bloomington, Minn., Sandra (Robert) Wertschnig of Brookfield, Billie Spring of Oak Creek and Sally Normington of Reno, Nev.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, Arthur, Alvin, Edward, Ralph, LaVerne, Irene, Ethel and Daniel.

Private graveside services will be held.
