Orville B. ‘Andy’ Anderson

WAUKESHA - Orville B. "Andy" Anderson, 70, of Waukesha died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, at Hess Memorial Hospital in Mauston.

He was born Sept. 12, 1930, in Sparta, the son of Bernard and Inga Anderson. Andy was a tool and die maker who worked on airplanes at Fort Sheridan and the Glenview Naval Air Station. He retired in 1996. He received commendations from the military for his work. He loved his work, the military, playing cards and his friends. Andy was a kind person and fun-loving. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Beatrice Shea.

Andy will be sadly missed by his wife, Helen, (nee Wolever) whom he married 37 years ago at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wheeling, Ill.; children, Debbie (Michael) Huth of Mundalein, Ill., Eugene (Jill) Anderson of Spring Valley, Michael (Mary) Anderson of Lake Villa, Ill., and Patrick Anderson of Waukesha; eight grandchildren; a brother, Norman Anderson of Sparta; sisters, Berdine Robinson of Neenah and Jane Flammang of California; a niece, Dawn (James) Shander of Waukesha; grandniece and grandnephews, Steven, Scott and Christine Shander of Waukesha; other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Orville will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Boulevard. The Rev. William McBride of Gethsemane United Methodist Church in Pewaukee will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. service Saturday. Burial at Prairie Home Cemetery will immediately follow the Saturday service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Orville’s name may be directed to the Waukesha Memorial Hospital cardiac care unit.
