David A. Szeflinski

WAUKESHA - David A. Szeflinski, formerly of Muskego, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 58.

David was born April 28, 1942, in Milwaukee, a son of Anthony and Harriet (nee Nastachowski) Szeflinski. He is a 1960 graduate of South Division High School. He worked in the Main Post Office in Milwaukee since 1962 and is a member of the Milwaukee area local AFL-CIO. On Jan. 18, 1964, he married Dolores Kaminski in Milwaukee.

David is survived by his wife of 37 years, Dolores Szeflinski of Waukesha; his two sons, Paul (Brenda) Szeflinski of Tomah and Greg Szeflinski of Denver. He is the proud grandpa of his three grandchildren, Mitchell, Mariah and Melissa Szeflinski of Tomah. David is also survived by his mother, Harriet Szeflinski of Milwaukee; his two brothers, Robert (Diana) Szeflinski of New Berlin and William (Kathy) Szeflinski of South Milwaukee; his sister, Pauline (David) Patrykus of Muskego. He is further survived by his mother-in-law, Grace Kaminski of Milwaukee; and three brothers-in-law, Don Kaminski of Chicago, Ed Kaminski of Milwaukee and Dick McClain of Minneapolis; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by his father; his sister, Antoinette McClain; and his father-in-law, Barney Kaminski.

A Mass of Christian Burial for David will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave. The Rev. Brian Mason will be the celebrant. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Thursday at the church. Entombment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in David’s name to the American Heart Association.
