George P. Zimmerman

WAUKESHA - Longtime Waukesha resident George P. Zimmerman died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at the Virginia Health Care Center at age 89. He was born April 25, 1911, in Rudolph, the son of William and Catherine (nee Schwartz) Zimmerman.

George was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waukesha and was retired from the Waukesha Roofing Company after 51 years of service.

He is the beloved father of William (Sara) Zimmerman of Palm Harbor, Fla., Catherine (William) Lundy of Big Bend, Arlene (David) Lynch of Cameron, Debra (Robert) Keierleber of Henning, Minn., and Sandra Zimmerman of Waukesha. He will also be missed by 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two brothers and six sisters, as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lorraine (nee Reimer) Zimmerman, in 1982.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Boulevard. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home with a procession to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., for a 10 a.m. Mass; the Rev. Michael Michalski will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
