WAUKESHA - Blanche H. Dahinden, 90, of Waukesha, formerly of Milwaukee, was born to eternal life Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at Care-Age of Brookfield. Blanche was a former resident of Oak Hill Village. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Waukesha. Blanche was a graduate of Downer College in Milwaukee and was the executive secretary of the International Association of Insurance Counsel. Blanche loved animals and was an avid supporter of many animal protection societies. In 1998, she was the proud winner of the corporate spelling bee sponsored by the Literacy Council of Greater Waukesha. Blanche is lovingly survived by two close friends, John B. McKinstry and Donna A. Carpenter. Blanche was loved and respected by many other friends and business associates. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 Highway 59 in Waukesha. The Rev. Glen Graczyk will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Milwaukee. Friends may call Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the church. If desired, memorials in Blanche’s name may be made to the Humane Animal Welfare Society. The Rudolph-Larsen Bros. Funeral Home in Waukesha, 542-7111, is assisting the family.
