An American Legion service was held last Friday at Mueller Funeral Home for Lawrence C. Yanko, 60, who died on Dec. 22, 1999. Burial was held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grafton. Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton assisted the family with arrangements.

Mr. Yanko was born Aug. 12, 1939 in Mellen, son of Lawrence and Catherine (nee Seabury) Yanko. He married Cynthia Hulber and worked as an arc welder at Simplicity Mfg. He served in the Army from Aug. 27, 1957 to Aug. 26, 1960.

Survivors include: wife Cynthia Yanko of Saukville; parents Lawrence and Catherine Yanko of Superior; daughters Katherine (Thomas) Hinnenberg of Milwaukee, Debbie Yanko of Grafton; sister Judy (Thomas) Chafer of Couderay; grandchildren Christopher and Nicholas “Nikki,” both of Milwaukee.
