A funeral service was held Tuesday at Mueller Funeral Home for Christian H. Hadler, 80, who died on Dec. 25, 1999. Rev. Pete Peterson officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg. Burial was at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg.

Mr. Hadler was born on Jan. 8, 1919 in Zumbrota, Minn., son of Simon and Christina (nee Hinrichs) Hadler. He married Esther Knuth and worked as a laborer for a dog food manufacturer.

Survivors include: daughter Beverly (Ray) Preisler of Saukville; son Doug (Barbara) Hadler of Copperas Cove, Texas; sisters Hildegard Born of Zumbrota, Minn. and Martha Brunckhorst of Hudson; brothers Edwin and Harry (Dorothy) Hadler, both of Zumbrota, Minn.; grandchildren Kristi (Steve) Lucht of Oklahoma, Brian Hadler and Kevin Hadler, both of Copperas Cove, Texas, Vicki Preisler of Saukville; great-grandchild Lauren Lucht of Geronimo, Okla.

He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by son Anthony, brothers Gerhardt, Albert and Martin, and sister Regina Lohman.
