Rachel May Kaphingst passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls.

She was born Dec. 21, 1999 at Community Memorial Hospital to Peter and Catherine (Orth) Kaphingst.

Rachel is survived by her parents, Peter and Catherine of Hartford; brother, Jacob; sister, Rebecca; maternal grandparents, Joan and Nick Orth of Hartford; paternal grandparents, Richard and Ruth Kaphingst of Hartford; great grandparents, Margaret Tenpas of Cedar Lake and Clifford Morris of Little Green Lake; aunts and uncles, Scott (Linda) Kaphingst of Kansas City, Kan., Heidi (Steve) Ernst of Madison, Lynn (Dan) Wampler of Mankato, Minn., David (Terry) Kaphingst of Sussex, Christine (Jeffrey) Hesse of Hustisford and Cynthia (Kevin) Helman of Bowie, Md. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 27 at 9:30 a.m. at Divine Savior Lutheran Church with Rev. Thomas Feiertag officiating. The family greeted relatives and friends at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
