| Harold J. Ebert, 75 Harold J. Ebert of Hartford passed away on Friday, Dec. 17, 1999 at Hartford Memorial Hospital. He was 75 years old. He was born Nov. 9, 1924 in Hartford to Edwin and Effie (Hamms) Ebert. He married Mary Werner on Nov. 26, 1946 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Slinger. Harold graduated from Hartford High School in 1942. He served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps in the European theater. He was employed at Kraft Foods and later at Midas International, retiring in 1977. Harold was a member of VFW Post 8834 and St. Kilians Church. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening and cooking. He is survived by his wife Mary; daughter Linda (Richard) Fieweger; two sons, Bob and Gary (Kay); six grandchildren, Kevin, Craig, Amy, Jason, Janay and Kaitlin; and three great-grandchildren, Alex, Anthony and Benjamin. Harold is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Eugene; sister LaVerne McGreal; and two children, Laura Marie and Michael. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Kilians Catholic Church with Father John Grennon officiating. The family greeted relatives and friends at the Shimon Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m., and interment was at St. Kilians Cemetery. The family was served by the Shimon Funeral Home. |
