61 Robert N. Becker (Bob) of Hartford, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 23 at his residence. He was 61 years old. He was born Jan. 12, 1938 in Hartford to Everett and Melania (nee Hug) Becker. He married Kay Wittenberger on Aug. 16, 1958 at St. Kilians Catholic Church in Hartford. Bob worked for 35 years for the Washington County Highway Department until his retirement on Nov. 6, 1998. He was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard for several years and also worked part-time as a police security guard. Bob was a member of St. Kilian Church. He enjoyed hunting and working on cars. He is survived by his wife Kay of Hartford; two sons Thomas (Julie) of Hartford and Steven of Jackson; grandchildren Dustin and Dana Becker of Hartford and Kyle Becker of Jackson; his mother, Melania of Hartford; two brothers, Glenn (Donna) of Cedarburg and Richard (Wendy) of Hartford; a sister, Joan (Kenny) Klink of Rubicon; two sisters-in-law, Ruth (Clarence) Naber of Placitas, N.M. and Marjean (Harry) Kleb of Hartford. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Becker, his father-in-law, Arthur Wittenberger and his mother-in-law, Pearl Bakke-Wittenberger. Visitation was held at the Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford on Monday, Dec. 27 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial followed Monday at 7 p.m. at St. Kilians Catholic Church in Hartford with Father Franklyn Becker officiating. Interment was at St. Kilian Cemetery. Memorials to St. Kilian School or the American Cancer Society are appreciated. |
