Clara Hiekkanen, 83, of Kewaskum passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999 at her home.

She was born Jan. 16, 1916 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Ludwig and Rose (Roehnbeck) Eder and on June 19, 1948 she was united in marriage to Arthur Hiekkanen. Her husband preceded her in death on May 4, 1996.

Hiekkanen was employed as a school secretary for the Milwaukee Public School System for 30 years, retiring on June 9, 1973. She was a member of the Milwaukee School Systems Secretary Association. The Hiekkanen was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She is survived by many friends. A sister, Rose Eder, preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum with Father Mark Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at the church only Friday.
