| Halliburton-Rees,
44 Lowrene Halliburton-Rees of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of West Bend, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999 in Colorado Springs after a long struggle with cancer at the age of 44. She was born in Milwaukee on Dec. 25, 1954 to Dale and Joan (nee Sell) Halliburton and moved to West Bend with her family in 1968. Lowrene graduated from West Bend East High School in 1973. After attending the University of Wisconsin Washington County in West Bend, she moved to Colorado Springs where she met and married Mark Rees in March of 1980. She is survived by her husband; three children, Ryan, Jonathan and Lindsey, all at home; parents, Dale and Joan Halliburton of West Bend; two sisters, Babe (Mitch) Hawkinson of West Bend and Paula (Michael) Scott of Knoxville, Tenn.; paternal grandmother Ruth C. Halliburton of Glendale; mother-in-law, Carol Sue Rees of Lincoln City, Ore.; two brothers-in-law, Jon Rees and Jay Rees, both of Lincoln City, Ore.; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by brother Dale W. Halliburton Jr. in 1973. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Community Church in West Bend. Rev. R.V. Brown will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Her cremains will be buried in the family plot in Manitowish Waters Cemetery. The Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, is assisting the family. |
