A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg, for Melvin W. Eickstedt, 90, who died on Dec. 5, 1999.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Rev. Wilmer Reichmann will officiate at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Muller Funeral Home, Grafton. Inurnment will be at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg.

Mr. Eickstedt was born March 1, 1909 in Cedarburg, son of Frederick W. and Ida I. Eickstedt. He married Gertrude M. Jaehnert on Oct. 6, 1928. He worked as a master plumber and attended First Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include: wife Gertrude M. Eickstedt of Grafton; son Robert Eickstedt of Downingtown, Pa.; daughter Judith D’Amato of Grafton; granchildren Rebecca Wilson, Raymond Eickstedt, Pam Null, Kim Fulmer, Martine Eickstedt, Maria D’Amato and Nikki D’Amato.

Further survived by five great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
