A funeral service was held Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton for Rodney L. Schroeder, 62, who died on Nov. 26, 1999. Rev. John Suelflow officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton. Burial was at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Grafton.

Mr. Schroeder was born Oct. 23, 1937 in Appleton, son of Ervin and Elara (nee Wiese) Schroeder. He married Arleen Sauer on Aug. 6, 1960 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington. He was a teacher at Grafton High School for 34 years and also served as Grafton village president for four terms.

Survivors include: wife Arleen Schroeder of Grafton; sons Timothy (Kerry) Schroeder of Austin, Texas, Mark Schroeder of Green Bay and David Schroeder of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; daughters Kristine Schroeder of Houston, Texas and Pamela (Nick) Merkle of Anchorage, Alaska.; sister Delores Kessner of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren Misha and Olga Schroeder of Austin, Texas.

Further survived by other relatives and friends.
