Leigh V. (nee Staszak) Pollpeter of Slinger died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999 at her residence. She was 44 years old. Leigh was born to Leo and Louise (Vallari) Staszak on Feb. 12, 1955 in Milwaukee, WI.

She graduated from Germantown High School in 1973. She married Tood S. Pollpeter on August 24, 1975 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richfield, WI. After marriage, the couple lived in West Bend and later, the Slinger area. She was an avid quilter for many years and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Parish of Allenton and a member of the West Bend Quilters.

Leigh is survived by her husband, her parents and three children, Steven (Jennifer) Pollpeter of Campbellsport, Andrew and Sarah Pollpeter, both of Slinger; 1 graddaughter, Gillian Rose Pollpeter of Campbellsport; her parents-in-law, Ron (betty) Pollpeter of Germantown; three brothers, Christopher (Jean Hansen) Staszak of Fort Collins, CO, Lindsey Staszak of New Mexico, and David (Patti) Staszak of St. Louis, MO; five sisters, Deidre (Dan) Wenzel, of OH, Teresa (Zane) Ely of San Diego, CA, Geri (Brian) Davis of Glenellen, IL, Maria (Brian)McCarthy of Minneapoli, MN and Jennifer (Patrick) Joyce of London, England, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
