| Lilian B. Monroe Lilian B. Monroe, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, age 97, born on June 9, 1902, in the Town of Erin (Hartford, WI), was called into Eternal Life at Theda Clark Medical Center on Nov. 18, 1999. She was the daughter of late Anton and Margaret (Schroeder) Goetz. Lilian had been a Menasha resident since 1951 where she and her husband owned and operated Monroes Clothing Store until retiring in 1967. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cyril J. Monroe in 1974; her sisters Margaret, Catherine, and Cecelia; her brothers, Joe and Raymond. Lilian is survived by a brother, Francis (Evelyn) Goetz, West Bend, two daughters, Hazel (Leland) Lohr, Hartford; Rita Monroe, Larsen; two sons, Cyril (Betty) Monroe, Rhinelander; Edward (Mary) Monroe, Greenville; a devoted friend, Madeleine Dishno, Larsen; seven grandchildren, Michael (Nancy) Monroe, West Bend; Patrick (Pam) Monroe, Pelican Lake; Carolyn (Brad) Hoffmann, Delafield; Colleen Monroe Appleton; Daniel Monroe, Greenville; 13 great-grandchildren, Jenny, Kristin, Mark, Paul, Kara, Jill, Amy, Steven, Markie, Paige, Jacob, Sammy and Sarah; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis and St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. Funeral services were held Nov.22 at. St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha, Rev. Robert Lussier officiating.
