She was born on May 23, 1953, in Mt. Clements, Mich. to the Hugo and Minerva (nee Ludwig) Franken and raised in Milwaukee. She married Joseph W. Furka in West Bend. Throughout her life, what mattered the most to her was her family and being the best wife and mother one could ever asked for. All, whom she touched with her special ways will dearly miss her.

Beloved wife of Joe Furka of West Bend. Cherished mother of Natalie Furka of Chicago; and JoAnn Furka, Robert Furka, Thomas Furka, and Lucille (Robert) Ebert, all of West Bend. Devoted daughter of Minerva Franken of Milwaukee. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Russell (Linda) Franken of Milwaukee, David (Kerri) Franken of Slinger, Jerry (Traci) Franken of St. Francis, and Kathy (Kirk) Dillingham of Wisconsin Rapids. Special friend to Therese Miller of Rubicon and all others at the West Bend Public Library. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hugo.

A Memorial Service was held on Monday, Dec. 27, 2004 at 6 p.m. at The Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend. Visitation was at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of service (6 p.m.).

Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend.
