Irene was born on Nov. 16, 1914 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Edward and Anna (nee Hartig) Feige. She was united in marriage on Oct. 15, 1938 with Alfred M. Koerber at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Irene enjoyed her children and her grandchildren.

Irene is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Jacob) Weinert of St. Lawrence and Diane (David) Drost of Hustisford; one daughter-in-law, Laurie Koerber of St. Lawrence; 13 grandchildren, Jeff (Lynn) Weinert, Cheryl (Greg) Bonlender, Corinne (Rich) Meyer, Christine (Scott) Roloff, Cathy (Richard) Zettler, Cindy (Brian) Schmitt, Jacqui (Jim Chitwood) Tiedt, Michelle (Andrew) Larson, Lisa Drost, Kari (Mark Bassett) Koerber, Jim Koerber, Mike (Michelle) Koerber and Jill Koerber, 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alice Schaefer of Washington, Dorothy Schuppie of Menomonee Falls and Grace Nehls of Germantown; one brother, Harvey (Marion) Feige of Mequon; and one sister-in-law, Terri Feige of Milwaukee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred; one son, Dennis; one great-grandson, Kyle Bonlender; two sisters; and three brothers.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Hudson officiating. Friends visited from 3 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Interment will take place at St. Lawrence Cemetery on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 at 10 a.m.
