Monty B. Lanthrip, 43, of Pembine, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004 at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital of West Bend.

He was born on Feb. 13, 1961 to Edward and Iris (nee Patterson) Lanthrip in Puerto Rico, and was raised in Milwaukee; where he attended South Division High School.

Monty lived in various parts of Wisconsin before settling in Pembine.

He was a self-employed mechanic and race car engine builder.

Survivors include his children, Leslie and Megan Lanthrip of Pembine; his parents, Edward and Iris Lanthrip of Mill-edgeville, Ga.; two sisters, Dawn (Scott) Winchester of Gordon, Ga. and Darcy (Brad) Kalkofen of Goodman, and a brother, Dean (Diane) Lanthrip of West Bend.

He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 30, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend.

Cheryl L. Matusiak will officiate, and cremation will be at Paradise Cremation Services.

The hours of visitation with the Lanthrip family will be on Thursday at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
