Ann Lucy
Ann Lucy (aka Diane Furka), nee Franken, 51, of West Bend, formerly of Milwaukee, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004 at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital of West Bend. She was born on May 23, 1953, in Mt. Clements, Mich. and raised in Milwaukee, to Hugo and Minerva (nee Ludwig) Franken. She married Joseph W. Furka in West Bend. Throughout her life, what mattered the most to her was her family and being the best wife and mother one could ever asked for. All whom she touched with her special ways will dearly miss her. She was the beloved wife of Joe Furka of West Bend; cherished mother of Natalie Furka of Chicago, JoAnn Furka, Robert Furka, Thomas Furka, and Lucille (Robert) Ebert, all of West Bend; devoted daughter of Minerva Franken of Milwaukee; dear sister and sister-in-law of Russell (Linda) Franken of Milwaukee, David (Kerri) Frank-en of Slinger, Jerry (Traci) Franken of St. Francis, and Kathy (Kirk) Dillingham of Wisconsin Rapids; special friend to Therese Miller of Rubicon and all others at the West Bend library. Further surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; Hugo. A memorial service will be held Monday, Dec. 27 at 6 p.m. at The Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home only, from 5 p.m. until the time of services. Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend. Memorials are appreciated in honor of Ann. A special and heartfelt "thank you" to the doctors and nurses on the second floor at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital of West Bend, for all the care and compassion given to Ann.
