Joseph was born in Tyndall, S.D. on Sept. 21, 1918, to the late James and Elizabeth Barber, and married Kathleen Barber on Dec. 5, 1945 in Leicester, England.

Inurnment will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
