He was born Aug. 2, 1930 in Plymouth, to the late Arthur and Elsie (Menne) Klauck.

John attended SS Peter & Paul Parochial School, Kiel and was a 1948 graduate of Kiel High School.

On Aug. 2, 1952 he married Jeanette Neumeyer at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2002.

John worked at H.G. Weber Co. in Kiel for 38 years, retiring in 1992.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Jeanette of Kiel; eight children: Daniel (Rita) Klauck of Greeley, Colo., Mary (David) Collin of New Holstein, Dr. Gerald Klauck of San Diego, Karen (Aug) Hau of Hartford, Kathy (Matt) Bohan of Tampa, Fla., Julie (Dr. Robert) Steiner of Lodi, Susan (Douglas) Woodruff of Eagle Mountain, Utah and Sara (David) Johnson of Stevens Point; 16 grandchildren; a sister, Elaine Robinson of Milwaukee; sister- and brothers-in-law, other relatives and many friends.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel with the Rev. Loren Nys S.D.S. officiating.

Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th St., Kiel on Sunday from 2 until 6 p.m. and at the funeral home on Monday from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. when brief family rites will take place.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to SS Peter & Paul or the Kiel Fire Department.
