Arthur F. Gellings

Arthur F. Gellings, 71, died on Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 at the Orlando Regional Medical center in Orlando, Fla.

He was born on March 20, 1933 in the town of Eden to the late Arthur and Stella (Hilt) Gellings, and was a graduate of St. Mary’s Springs.

On May 15, 1954, he married Genevieve Freund at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, St. Peter.

Arthur was a self-employed carpenter building pole buildings prior to starting the Gellings Farm Supply (New Holland equipment dealership) with his father.

In 1978, along with his family, they relocated their business, Gelling’s Implement, to its current location on Highway 45 and Mink Road.

He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church in Eden and a member of the Eden Firemen’s Association.

His favorite activities included spending time with his family and friends, especially on the golf course.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, David of Eden, Ken (Beth) and their children, Carrie, Mat-thew, Andrea and Adam of Eden, Tom (Sheryl) and their children, Melissa, Nicole (her son, Jalen), Holly and Kimberly of Eden, Don (Brenda) and their children Nick and Jon and three stepchildren, Brandi Schmidt (her daughter, Talia), John Schmidt and Marc Fry, and Paul of Eden; a daughter, Ruth (Rick) Bode and their son, Jeremy of Campbellsport; a brother, Jerome (Betty) Gellings of Eden; two sisters, Darlene (Neil) DeLorme and Marian (Orville) Nimmer, both of Fond du Lac.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 24 at 10 a.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church in Eden.

Rev. Kevin Wester will officiate, and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation at the Twohig Fun-eral Home, Fond du Lac, will be held on Thursday from 3 until 8 p.m. and also on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at church.

A memorial has been established.
