Christa was born on Dec. 25, 1926 in Glencoe, Ill. She moved to Konigsberg, East Prussia in 1930 where she spent most of her childhood. After World War II, she returned to Glencoe and graduated from New Trier High School in Winnetka, Ill. She later married Edwin L. Jones and resided in Libertyville, Ill., and Brookfield.

She enjoyed golf, bridge, needlework, theater, collecting elephant memorabilia, reminiscing about the past and spending time with her family. Christa was a unique person who always put others first. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include: children Ann (Robert) Schroeder, Eric (Joan) Jones and Karen (Alan) Drifka; grandchildren Christa, Carly, Michael and Kaitlin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin L. Jones, parents Frank and Minna Glahe and three half-brothers.
