Donald M. Voigt Donald M. Voigt of Hartford passed away on Friday, Dec. 10, 2004 at the Hartford Care Center. He was 76 years old. He was born on Oct. 27, 1928 in Hustisford to Herbert and Erna (nee Goetsch) Voigt. Donald married Janet Loew on Sept. 10, 1952 at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church in Hartford. Donald served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1954. He was a member of St. Kilian’s Catholic Church; the Hartford V.F.W. Post #8834; and Courtney, Carr, Milner American Legion Post #19. Donald pitched in the Rock River League for Hustisford. He worked at Slinger Foundry for 33 years, and retired after many years at International Stamping. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Janet; two daughters, Lynn Herring of Hartford and Susan (Todd) Frangquist of Slinger; seven grandchildren, Josh, Jessica, Becky, Jamie, Matt, Justin and Jordan; his mother-in-law, Virginia Loew of Hartford; two brothers, Chester (Phyllis) Voigt of Hartford and Harold (Arvilla) Voigt of Sun Prairie; and two sisters-in-law, Shirley (Jim) Doubleday of Hartford and Mary (Harley) Leitzke of Markesan. Don is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his father-in-law, LaVerne Loew. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004 at 7 p.m. at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church, Hartford, with Fr. Mike Petrie officiating. Family greeted relatives and friends on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the church. Interment St. Kilian’s Parish Cemetery, Hartford, with graveside military rites conducted by the Hartford V.F. W. Post #8834. Memorials to St. Kilian’s Building Fund appreciated. Shimon Funeral Home is assisting the family.
