Carl Joseph Borst

Carl Joseph Borst of Slinger passed away on Monday, Nov. 22, 2004 at his residence.

Carl was born on Oct. 26, 1916 in Milwaukee to Joseph and Mary (nee Meckes) Borst. The family later moved to Jackson, where he was raised. In 1948, Carl resided in Slinger. He served with the Civil Air Patrol during WWII and was able to travel the United States. Carl married Joan Carlene Kempfer on July 20, 1963 in West Bend. He was a self-employed, commercial and residential electrician and was a handyman of all trades.

Carl is survived by his beloved wife, Joan (nee Kempfer) Borst; his daughter, Bonnie (Marvin) Sanderfoot; three step-children, Judy (James) Reynolds, Helen (Michael) Janowiak and Clarence (Kathy) Lange; one step-daughter-in-law, Kathy Lange; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two step-children, John Lange and Joanne Hill.

A funeral service in honor of Carl was held on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004 at 3 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of Slinger. Cremation took place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend. The hours of visitation were on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004 from 1 p.m. until the time of service (3 p.m.).
