Philip E. Moe Philip E. Moe, 80, of Kewaskum, passed away on Saturday, Dec.27, 2003 at All About Life Rehabilitation Center in Fond du Lac where he had been receiving care for some time. He was born on April 1, 1923 in Merrill to the late Oscar and Martha (Emmanuel) Moe. Philip spent most of his early life in Milwaukee, and on Oct. 12, 1946 he was united in marriage to Elouise Yando. She passed away on Jan. 24, 1974. On March 29, 1980 he married Jeannette "Jeanne" Backhaus at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. Philip served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kewaskum. Survivors include his wife; three children, John (Sue) Moe of Reeseville, Barbara Jaeger (Rick Booth) of Neshkoro and Kathryn (Dean) Zelinski of Milwaukee; three stepchildren, Jody (Harry) Krueger of Kewaskum, Ann (Gary) Schneider of West Bend and Lyn Howard (Vonda) Backhaus of Wausau; 12 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; one great-grandson; two step-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services with military rites will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel in Milwaukee at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30. Rev. Edwin Fredrich will officiate, and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services.
