She was born on Sept. 11, 1913 in Chicago to the late August and Amy (nee Hilgendorf) Dallmann, and married Lawrence Retzlaff in 1931.

Lawrence passed away in 1964.

On Aug. 13, 1966 she married Clifford E. Holmes in Tigerton.

Lillian was active at Christ Lutheran Church in Jackson, especially in Circle for many years.

She enjoyed playing cards in a card club in Jackson.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Clifford of Cedar Ridge in West Bend; six children, Ron (LaVerne) Retzlaff of Rochester, Mich., Larry (Shari) Retzlaff of Sussex, Jeffrey "Chip" (Pat) Holmes and Greg Holmes of West Bend, Tim (Diana) Holmes of the town of Erin, and Monica Holmes of Hartford; eight grandchildren, Ross, Diane, Debbie, Heather, Chad, Rob, Ryan and Katie; eight great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Leona Retzlaff of Green Bay; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, Earl and Gus.

Funeral srvices will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Jackson.

Rev. William Gruenstern will officiate, and burial will follow in Christ Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation at the church only will be Tuesday from noon until 1:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or Cedar Community.
