She was born on Oct. 15, 1907 to the late John and Clara (Ruhland) Werner, and was raised in Allenton on the family farm.

She attended business school in Milwaukee. On April 16, 1932 she married Albert C. Meyer in Rockford, Winnebago County.

Alvina worked for Heineman’s Restaurant as the office manager for many years, retiring in 1979.

After retirement she enjoyed crocheting and traveling.

Survivors include a sister, Shirley (John) Schuppel of Allenton; a brother-in-law, Harold Westerman of Kewaskum; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Albert, and a sister, Jeanette Westerman.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 5 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend.

Father Richard J. Stoffel will officiate, and interment of ashes will take place in Forest Home Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Visitation at the funeral home will be on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
