Ruth Gene Vierck A funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 20 at Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, for Ruth Gene Vierck, 84, who died at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital on Dec. 17, 2003. Burial was at Wisconsin Memorial Park. The Rev. Mike Barrett officiated at the ceremony. Mueller Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Mrs. Vierck was born on Jan. 19, 1919 in Milwaukee to the late Charles Allen and the late Nora Murphy. She married Charles Vierck on July 12, 1941 in Shorewood. Their marriage was blessed with six children. Survivors include: children Karen (John) McCormick of Hubertus, Kathy (Brian) Balthazor of Cedarburg, Chuck Vierck of Peoria, Ariz., Wendy Turk of Burlington and Dan Vierck of Springfield, Ore.; sister Marilla Quinn of Plymouth. Further survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Vierck and son Cliff Vierck. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Association appreciated.
