William A. "Bill" Edwards

William A. "Bill" Edwards, 71, of Kewaskum, passed away at his home on Monday, Dec. 15, 2003 with his family at his side.

He was born on May 30, 1932 in Kewaskum to the late Dr. Richard G. and Alma (Zimpel) Edwards, and on April 23, 1958 was united in marriage to Violet Ramthun at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kewaskum.

She passed away on Oct. 23, 1998.

Bill served his country in the Marine Corps during the Korean War, and he owned and operated the Wigwam Restaurant in Kewaskum from 1963-1980.

He was a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum and the Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post 384 in Kewaskum.

Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing, and will be deeply missed by his family.

Survivors include seven children, William R. Edwards of New Fane, Benjamin Edwards, Robert Edwards, Beth Klahn (special friend Mike Frank), Belle Edwards, Elizabeth Edwards and Barbara Edwards (special friend John Voit), all of Kewaskum; a brother, Richard (Marilyn) Edwards of Campbellsport; three sisters, Ruth "Dolly" (Eldon) Ramthun of Campbellsport, Gwendolyn (Jules) Dreher of Kewaskum, and Patricia (Dr. Joseph) Darin of Brookfield; six grandchildren, Joseph Klahn, Bryce, Blayne, Rachael, Cody and Lily Edwards; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and his beloved pet, Worker Dog.

Preceding him in death were a sister, Annabelle, and her husband, Allen Tessar; and a sister-in-law, Arlette Edwards.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kewaskum.

Rev. Timothy Henning will officiate, and burial with military graveside rites will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday in Lutheran Memorial Park, Kewaskum.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, on Thursday from 2 to 6:30 p.m.
