Maxine A. Boyd Maxine A. Boyd, 86, of Menomonee Falls Health Care Center, formerly of Hartford, was born to eternal life on Saturday Dec. 13, 2003. She was born March 27, 1917 in Antigo, to the late Ernest and Anna (nee Adler) Joss. She married Stanley A. Boyd in 1939, and they shared 64 years of a blessed marriage. She was a very religious person dedicated to her Catholic faith even considering entering the convent. She was a longtime member of St. Kilian’s Parish and the Daughters of Isabella. Maxine enjoyed playing sheepshead, working crossword puzzles and was an avid bingo player. She was very proficient in the arts and crafts, making afghans, Christmas ornaments and wall hangings for her family. She is the loving mother of Wayne C. (Myosop) Boyd of Texas and Joseph S. (Louisa Storen) Boyd of South Carolina; the fond grandmother of Cheryl Boyd, Stacy Rice, Wendy Scozzafava, Christie Flanzenbaum, Shelly Boyd, and Jillian Boyd. She is also survived by 10 great- grandchildren, and other relative and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband, Stanley on April 1, 2003, two brothers and two sisters. Visitation at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, Hartford, will be on Thursday, Dec. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m. with a vigil service at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church, 264 W.
