Edwin "Ed" W. Wren Edwin "Ed" W. Wren, 64, of West Bend and the town of Trenton died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003 at Select Specialty Hospital of West Allis. Born to Elmer (Leona Yeadeke) Wren June 4, 1939 in West Bend and raised in the West Bend area. He attended McLane School. Later, he served in the National Guard. He was married to Karen A. Gentz June 9 1962 at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church of West Bend. After marriage, the couple lived in the town of Trenton and were members of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was employed as a machinist for Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac for over 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Karen; four children, Cindy (Dennis) Gerrietts, West Bend, Randal Wren, Oostburg, Jeff Wren, West Bend, and Daniel (Angela) Wren, Jackson; his father, Elmer Wren, West Bend; and four grandchildren, Krystle Wren, Denielle Gerrietts, Morgan and Jordan Wren. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Leona. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16 at Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend with Rev. Richard Lauersdorf officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until time of service. Interment will take place at the Washington County Memorial Park of West Bend at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 17. Memorials are appreciated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church. A special thanks to Dr. Smale and the staffs at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital of West Bend, Subacute Unit, and Select Specialty Hospital of West Allis for all their loving care of Ed.
