Ned A. Kellner

A funeral service was held on Dec. 8 at Schramka Funeral Home, Thiensville, for Ned A. Kellner, who died Dec. 4, 2003 at the age of 84. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery. Schramka-Densow Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Mr. Kellner was born March 29, 1919 and married Dorothy (nee Turks) 60 years ago. He was an Air Force World War II Veteran. He graduated from Marquette School of Engineering, but was a big Badger fan. He was a partner with George Sirotkin as owner of Kel-Sir Co., Inc.

He was a trustee on the Village Board and president of Thiensville Village Board, a former Cubmaster and longtime member of Thiensville-Mequon Rotary Club. He was a member of Tripoli Country Club and an honorary board member of North Suburban YMCA, Brown Deer. He was an avid fisherman and devoted Santa Claus every year.

Survivors include: wife Dorothy; children Ned W. Kellner, Mary (George) Haas, Barbara (Mac) McArthur, James Kellner; grandchildren DJ (Mary Beth) Haas, Mary (Paul) Wagy, Anne Haas, Michelle (Innocent) Doudou, Susan (Noel) Garcia, Angela Loehndorf, Brandon McArthur; great-grandchildren Emily and Bridget Wagy; sister-in-law Gloria (the late Tom) Plese.

Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate Mass offerings for the repose of the souls of all who have died or memorials for Thiensville-Mequon Rotary Park in his name.

He was preceded in death by his son Larry, granddaughter Selena Kellner and brother Jack Kellner.

The family would like to give thanks to the sixth floor of Columbia Hospital, Home Instead Caregivers and Vitas Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.
