She was the beloved wife of the late Leland; loving mother of Robert (Aileen), Everett (Jane), John (Sherry), Lee Anne (Tim) Miller, Jerry, Janine (David) Menden, Pat (Linda), Bryan, Ted, Paula (Pat) Wheaton, Mary Jo (Jim) Schleis and James Sheppard; grandmother of 36 and great-grandmother of 17.

She is also survived by sisters, Joanne, Polly and Helen; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were nine siblings.

Sophia was an active and devoted member of St. Gabriel Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel Church, St. Hubert’s site, 3727 Hubertus Road, Hubertus.

Visitation at the Schramka-Herrick Funeral Home, Menomonee Falls, will be on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m., with a 7 p.m. vigil service, and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or Masses to the church are appreciated.
