Ms. Zaun had a special love for crafts, especially crocheting and sharing her talent with others.

She will be missed by her friends and caregivers at Lasata Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy.

A funeral service was held on Dec. 5 at Grace Lutheran Church in Thiensville for Jack W. Achterberg of Thiensville, who died on Dec. 2, 2003 at the age of 75. Private entombment was held at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Zwaska Funeral Home, Milwaukee, assisted the family with arrangements.

Mr. Achterberg was an employee of the Milwaukee Gas Company for over 39 years. He was a member of the Model-A Club, the Milwaukee Rose Society and active at his church.

Survivors include: wife Dorene (nee Kasulke); children Gary Achterberg, Heidi (James) Hilby; grandchildren Breanna, Brandon, Sarah Hilby; sister Joan (Jerome) Gildner; sister-in-law Ardeth Lewis and brother-in-law Bruce Kasulke.

Futher survived by other relatives and friends.
