Roger R. Zettler
Roger R. Zettler, 70, of West Bend, formerly of Boltonville, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003 at the Hartford Care Center in Hartford. He was born on Nov. 28, 1933 in West Bend, to the late Ewald and Marcella (Hermann) Zettler, and on May 14, 1955 he was united in marriage to Rosemary Schwartzmiller at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy. Roger was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels, and was employed by The West Bend Co. in West Bend, retiring in 1993 after over 40 years of service. He was a member of the West Bend Co.’s 25-Year Club, the Boltonville Sportsman’s Club, a former member of the Boltonville Fire Department, and a former member and charter member of the Boltonville Snowmobile Club. Roger loved the outdoors and outdoor sports. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Rodney Zettler of Boltonville, Robert (Debra) Zettler Sr. of Random Lake, and Richard (Cathy) Zettler of West Bend; a daughter-in-law, Amy Zettler of Kewaskum; three brothers, Kenneth (Alice) Zettler of Boltonville, Ronald (Lucille) Zettler of Glenbeulah and Alvin (Diane) Zettler of Port Washington; a sister, Arlene (John) Beisbier of West Bend; a brother-in-law, Harold (Marsha) Schwartzmiller of Kekoskee; seven grandchildren, Megan, Robert Jr., Jacob, Savannah, Katelyn, Kelsey and Kaylee Zettler; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A son, Roger H. Zettler preceded him in death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels, and burial will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice are preferred. The Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, is serving the family. |
