Margery L. Lilley, nee Franklin, 92, of West Bend, formerly of Jackson, died on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003 at Virginia Highlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in Germantown.

Margery was born on Aug. 13, 1911 in Ottumwa, Iowa, to the late Edward and Adella (nee Davis) Franklin.

After her marriage to John Lilley in 1927, the couple settled in the Milwaukee area until 1970 when they moved to Jackson.

After the death of her husband in 1985, she came to West Bend.

Margery was a very active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Survivors include a daughter, Carole (Jim) Scheffner of West Bend; seven grandchildren, Jay (Cynthia) Lilley, Mark (Marilyn) Lilley, Steven Lilley, Scott (Kate) Lilley, Mary (Gary) Chesney, Michael (Shelly) Scheffner and Sally (Randy) Evans; 12 great-grandchildren; a niece; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were two sons, Donald (and his wife, Patricia) and Daniel; a sister; and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend.

Pastor William Gruenstern will officiate, and burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Milwaukee.

Visitation at the funeral home will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m., and also on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
