Raymond R. Supercynski
Raymond R. "Ray" or "Supe" Supercynski, 68, of Richfield died Wednesday Nov. 27, 2002 at Community Memorial Hospital of Menomonee Falls. He was born to Bernard (Mary Kusz) Supercynski on Feb. 19, 1934 in Bessemer, Mich., and married Elizabeth A. Ikola on Oct. 20, 1962 in Wakefield, Mich. Born and raised in Bessemer, Mich., he was a graduate of Bessemer High School, class of 1952. He graduated from Michigan Technical School, receiving his B.S. degree in civil engineering. He served with the U.S. Army. Later he graduated from Marquette University in 1972 with his master’s in structural engineering. Ray was employed at Klug & Smith Co. of Milwaukee for over 41 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Polish Genealogical Society, Polish Fest Committee member, National Steel Guitar Association, and an active member of the St. Mary's Choir and Chapel of Richfield. He loved and volunteered his guitar playing abilities for the senior citizens of Milwaukee. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, Eric Supercynski of Chicago and James (Kelly) Supercynski or Jackson; two brothers, Florian (Bernice) Supercynski of Aurora, Colo. and Charles Supercynski of Ironwood, Mich.; two sisters, Joan (Richard) Steiger of Bessemer, Mich. and Bernice (Dennis) Pairolero of Iron River, Mich.; and one brother-in-law, Michael (Nancy) Ikola of Wakefield, Mich. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be at The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend on Sunday, Dec. 1 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. Closing of the casket prayers will be on Monday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, Dec. 2, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Chapel of Richfield with Father Charles T. Hanel officiating. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery of Richfield. Memorials are appreciated. The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is serving the family. |
